The retirement of Victor K. Wilson marks the end of an era at the University of Georgia. After 30 years
of UGA service—capped by a decade as vice president of student affairs—his legacy can be found in the
student lives he's improved and the vibrant, spirited campus he's helped to build. And now, you can
enshrine that legacy and build on his work for generations to come.
In honor of Wilson's decades of transformative work, UGA President Jere W. Morehead announced a
fundraising campaign to renovate the Memorial Hall ballroom, which will become the Victor K.
Wilson Memorial Hall Ballroom.
President Morehead has dedicated $500,000 in matching funds to support this effort. Our
goal is to fulfill every dollar of that match to build on Wilson's tremendous legacy by renovating and
dedicating the building he loves.

In the 46 years since Wilson enrolled in UGA as a freshman, he has been a student leader, alumnus,
mentor, teacher and administrator. His career accomplishments are almost too numerous to name; his leadership
positioned the university as a global standard in the student experience and the learning environment.
