Women of UGA Lunch with Benbini Founders Jacqueline Crisci (AB '96) and Jenny Fosgate

When young mothers Jacqueline Crisci (AB ’96) and Jenny Fosgate were mastering the learn-as-you-go technique for raising babies, they came up with their own idea for a little something that would give moms like them a leg up on the chaos. The challenges associated with schedules and alarms necessary for keeping up motherhood drove this dynamic duo to create a tool to keep up with the biological clock of "mommydom".

Last year, Jacqueline and Jenny leveraged their backgrounds in marketing, packaged goods, consulting and high-end retail to convince the second-largest watch manufacturer to help them launch Benbini watches. Using a unique bezel system, Benbini allows mothers (or fathers) to bookmark the hours and minutes leading up to the next feeding, nap or medicine dose.

Jacqueline Crisci (AB ’96) was raised in Atlanta before heading to the University of Georgia. After graduation, the alumna spent two years in software sales in London and then five years in New York City in IT sales. In 2004, she returned to Atlanta to start her family. Following the birth of her first son, Jacqueline and Jenny determined there was a need for a "mom's watch" and began developing Benbini in 2006.

Jenny Fosgate was raised in North Carolina and New Jersey, and graduated from DePauw University in 1996. She worked in advertising in Chicago and Charlotte before moving to Atlanta in 2004 with her husband and first daughter. Although Jenny is not a Bulldog by degree, she married into a diehard Bulldog family. Her father-in-law played football at UGA, so Jenny is an Athens regular on game days in the fall.

Since the launch of Benbini in 2012, the company has seen great success and the watches are available to moms everywhere.

Please join these entrepreneurs at Pricci in Buckhead for a Women of UGA luncheon on Friday, September 13 at 11:30 a.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Benbini, network with these and other alumnae, and enjoy a delicious lunch.

The Alumni Association and both hosts look forward to seeing you there!
